After the original company was declared bankrupt in March 2022, the retailer OVS bought the brand at auction in July 2022. OVS relaunched it exclusively in more than 500 of its stores in February 2025.
OVS: OVS is Italy's largest clothing retailer, selling affordable fashion for women, men and children. Founded in 1972 as a division of the Coin department store group and listed in Milan since 2015, OVS S.p.A. also runs the Upim and Goldenpoint banners and owns brands such as Stefanel and Les Copains.
Stefanel: Stefanel is an Italian women's clothing brand founded in 1959 in the Veneto region and known for knitwear. It entered insolvency receivership in September 2019 and was acquired by the retailer OVS. The brand's website operates in 29 locations.
