Who is Alexandre Arnault?

Alexandre Arnault, born in 1992, is a son of LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault and one of the group's younger senior executives. He has held leadership roles at Rimowa, Tiffany & Co. and Moët Hennessy, and he sits on the board of directors of LVMH. His career so far has taken him across three different luxury categories: travel goods, jewellery, and wines and spirits.

Career

Arnault was closely involved in LVMH's acquisition of the German luggage maker Rimowa in 2016 and subsequently became its chief executive. At Rimowa he worked on modernising the brand's image, including collaborations with fashion and streetwear labels, which helped bring the luggage brand to a younger audience.

After LVMH completed its acquisition of the American jeweller Tiffany & Co. in 2021, Arnault became executive vice president for product and communications. He was part of the team that repositioned Tiffany within the group, with new campaigns, product development and a renovated New York flagship. In 2025 he moved to Moët Hennessy, LVMH's wines and spirits division, as deputy chief executive. In September 2026 Nike appointed him to its board of directors, with effect until its 2027 annual meeting.

Influence on the fashion business

Although his current role is in wines and spirits, Arnault's earlier work had a visible influence on luxury fashion and accessories:

  • Using fashion collaborations to rejuvenate a heritage luggage brand
  • Applying fashion style marketing and product drops to a luxury travel goods company
  • Repositioning an American jewellery icon within a European luxury group
  • Bringing a younger generation's perspective to the LVMH board

His career reflects how LVMH rotates senior family members through different houses and categories to build experience across the group, a practice also visible in the careers of his siblings Delphine, Antoine and Frédéric Arnault.

Why it matters

LVMH is the largest luxury group in the world, and the roles of Bernard Arnault's children are closely followed as a sign of the group's long term leadership. Alexandre Arnault's track record at Rimowa and Tiffany shows how collaboration driven marketing from fashion can be applied to other luxury categories, and his position on the LVMH board gives him a voice in the strategy of a group that includes many of the world's most important fashion houses.
