History
In the late 1970s brothers Saul and Joe Mimran met Hong Kong-born designer Alfred Sung and in 1980 founded Monaco Group to launch his label. The team opened Club Monaco in Toronto in 1985, and an ALFRED retail chain followed in 1991 under a licensee.
The brand later expanded into fragrance, notably FOREVER ALFRED SUNG in 1995, which was sold through major department stores in the United States and Canada, as well as a Canadian-made diamond bridal ring collection in 2015 and automatic watches in 2024.
