BIYAN is the fashion house of Indonesian designer Biyan Wanaatmadja, regarded as one of the leading names in Indonesian fashion. Alongside the main line, the house has operated Studio 133 by Biyan and a bridal line, Biyan Bride.
History
Born in Surabaya in 1954, Biyan Wanaatmadja studied at Mueller & Sohn Privat Mode Schule in Düsseldorf and at the London College of Fashion, and worked at Enrico Coveri in Florence in 1983. He launched BIYAN in 1984, starting from a small atelier in Surabaya, and followed with Studio 133 by Biyan in 1985.
