Xsensible is a comfort shoe brand of The Sensible Shoe Company B.V., headquartered in Berg en Dal near Nijmegen, Netherlands, where around 30 people work. The company is led by the Krol family, which in 1967 bought the Nijmegen shoe factory Nimco, founded in 1904; Nimco continues to make orthopaedic shoes alongside Xsensible.

Products and positioning

The range consists mainly of sneakers for women and men, complemented by boots and sandals. Every model is built on the patented Xsensible Inside concept:

• Stretch leather uppers that adapt to the foot
• A balance sole with a bridge that spreads body weight across the whole sole
• A design inspired by traditional Japanese wooden slippers

Xsensible shoes are produced by four partner factories in Portugal, while Nimco has its own factory there.

Distribution

Xsensible is sold through independent shoe retailers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK and Ireland, with Singapore, Japan and Canada as further markets.
