What is Baldessarini?
Baldessarini is a German men's luxury label. It was created in 1993 by Hugo Boss in Metzingen and named after Werner Baldessarini, its creator and head of design. The first collection reached the European market in 1994.
History
In 2004 the brand was spun off from Hugo Boss as a subsidiary, and its headquarters moved from Metzingen to Munich. In August 2006 Hugo Boss sold the brand to Werner Baldessarini, who then sold the textiles business to Ahlers AG. After the Röther Group took over Ahlers in 2023, the brand has been managed by New Baldessarini GmbH, part of the R.Brand Group.
Products and positioning
The range covers suits, blazers and leather and nylon jackets. A lifestyle line of handmade accessories and men's fragrances, starting with an eau de cologne in 2002, extended the label beyond clothing.
The brand targets confident, cosmopolitan men and blends traditional tailoring with unconventional styles and carefully selected materials.
