What is Blipers?
Blipers is an Italian footwear brand built around a sandal that holds the foot by the shape of the heel rather than with straps. Benedetto Battaglini conceived the idea in 2001. After major footwear companies showed no interest, he decided in 2015 to produce it himself, supported by his son Federico.
History
After two years of design work with the Maresca factory, the first patented one piece rubber sandal launched in 2017. That year father and son founded Blipers Srl, which owns the patents and the trademark. A flip flop with the same heel locking feature followed in 2020.
