History
Christos Costarellos was born in Düsseldorf, Germany, to parents who worked in fashion: his mother was a seamstress and his father a tailor. He studied fashion design at the Dimitrelis School of Fashion in Greece and then completed a master's degree in theatre costume design at the London College of Fashion, before launching his label in 1998.
The brand gained wide international attention in May 2021, when Carrie Symonds wore a Costarellos dress, rented rather than bought, for her wedding to Boris Johnson.
