What is Local Heroes?
Local Heroes is a streetwear label from Poland, launched in 2013 by friends Karolina Słota and Areta Szpura. It quickly built an international following, with its pieces worn by celebrities such as Rihanna, Bella Hadid, Cara Delevingne, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus.
History
Areta Szpura left the company in 2017, after which the brand continued under Karolina Słota together with investor Tomasz Czarnecki. In 2020 Local Heroes opened a flagship boutique on Mokotowska Street in Warsaw. In October 2024 Słota announced her departure after more than 12 years with the brand.
