Progetto Quid is a fashion label run as a social cooperative in Verona, in the Veneto region of Italy. It combines the production of clothing with a social mission: providing stable employment to disadvantaged workers, with a particular focus on women.

History

The idea was developed in late 2012 by Anna Fiscale together with a group of young friends, and the project started in 2013. It was first registered as an association before becoming a social cooperative, governed by a members' assembly, a board of directors and a board of statutory auditors. Anna Fiscale is founder and president.

Products and positioning

The cooperative creates fashion collections from first-quality, end-of-line fabric that would otherwise go unused. Earlier work also included reworking unsold garments. Its workforce includes groups not covered by standard Italian employment protections, such as women who have experienced violence and refugees, and the cooperative aims for long-term careers rather than short placements.
