What is SOAR?
SOAR, also known as Soar Running, is a London-based performance running brand. Founder Tim Soar, a former designer and DJ, launched it from a small London studio in 2015 after becoming frustrated with the technical running gear available.
Products and positioning
The range covers race vests, tees, half tights, shorts, windbreakers, gilets, rain shells, hydration vests and bags, as well as titanium running sunglasses made with Cubitts. Products are grouped into five lines:
- xRACE for racing
- xRUN for daily training
- xTRAIL for off-road running
- xHEAT for hot weather
- PROTLAB for experimental prototypes
The brand develops new fabrics when existing ones fall short, working with sportswear and material science factories on materials such as Italian 3D mesh, silk blends, Dyneema blends and UPF 50 fabrics. Construction uses laser-cut hems and flat-locked or fully bonded seams.

SOAR sells through its own website and through specialist retailers, and has exhibited at Pitti Uomo in Florence.
