What is Vita Kin?
Vita Kin is the fashion label of the Ukrainian designer of the same name, born in Kyiv in 1969. Her work reinterprets the vyshyvanka, the embroidered garment of Ukrainian national costume, as contemporary luxury womenswear.
History
Kin worked in advertising and fashion photography before turning to design. In 2008 she launched the dress brand Vita Kin for Kingdom, and in 2013 she created Vyshyvanka by Vita Kin. Her first embroidered collections carried the motto Chic Nationale.
The label gained international attention when her designs were photographed during Paris Fashion Week in 2015, and The Wall Street Journal named her embroidered shirts the most popular summer dresses of that year. In 2015 she was named Best Newcomer at the Best Fashion Awards and Best Womenswear Designer in Ukraine at the Elle Style Awards.

The brand's signature pieces are embroidered dresses and vyshyvanka-inspired outfits. It has also worked on collaborations, including:
