What is Zattini?

Zattini is a Brazilian online fashion business owned by Netshoes, the sporting goods e-commerce group. It was created as Netshoes' move into fashion retail, complementing the group's sports offer with a fashion focused site.

Products and positioning

Zattini began as a fashion brand and online store. Over time Netshoes expanded its categories, positioning Zattini as an online department store rather than a pure fashion shop. In 2017 the group started selling toys on the platform, including licensed character products, toy cars, dolls, puzzles and plush toys.

Business model

Alongside its own assortment, Zattini operates a marketplace on which outside sellers list their products. Toy retailer Ri Happy, for example, offered more than 5,600 items on Zattini under a partnership. This model allows the platform to widen its range quickly without holding all of the stock itself.

Why it matters

Zattini is an example of a Latin American sports e-commerce player building a separate fashion platform and then using marketplace mechanics to grow into a broader online department store.
