What is Annakiki?
Annakiki is a womenswear label created by Chinese designer Anna Yang. Yang comes from a tailoring family, studied in South Korea and France and launched her own label in 2012.
History
Before moving to Milan, Yang presented her work during London and Paris fashion weeks in 2014 and 2015. Annakiki made its Milan Fashion Week debut with its autumn winter 2017 collection, a space themed show described as an ode to aliens. The brand has since continued to present seasonal collections, with runway archives covering autumn winter 2022 to autumn winter 2024 and an autumn winter 2025 collection.
Products and positioning
Annakiki designs statement womenswear. Its debut Milan collection featured metallic coated outfits, shiny red skirts, wide 1980s style shoulders with tentacle like sleeves, purple fur gloves and oversized coats in eco fur and velvet. More recent ranges include fur hats, feather trimmed blazers, leather jackets and wool coats.
Distribution
The brand runs its own website and e-shop, priced in euros, with a loyalty programme and a 3D virtual store experience.
Why it matters
Annakiki is part of a generation of Chinese designer labels that chose Milan as their international showcase, combining a runway presence with direct online sales and digital retail formats.
