What is Dannijo?
Dannijo is a New York jewellery and accessories brand founded by sisters Danielle Snyder and Jodie Snyder Morel. Its pieces are handmade in New York City and are known for bold statement designs positioned between aspirational and accessible.
History
The sisters grew up in Florida, where they made wire jewellery using their cardiologist father's medical tools. Before launching the brand, Snyder interned in Kenya, co-founded the nonprofit LWALA and worked with jewellery designer Penny Preville, while Morel worked at footwear brand Sam Edelman. In 2007 they created a capsule collection for an LWALA fundraiser, and in 2008 they pitched the line to Bergdorf Goodman.
