Isabel Guarch is a Mallorcan jewellery house based in Palma. Its collections are entirely inspired by the island, from its light and colours to its architecture and traditional culture.
History
The business began in 1957, when the designer's mother turned her flat on Carrer de Jaume II in Palma into a showroom for made to order jewellery and built the brand through word of mouth. Isabel Guarch studied gemmology, specialising in diamonds, and completed a design degree in Paris before taking over the family company in 2005. She has released a new collection every year since.
Products and positioning
Pieces are made predominantly in 18 carat gold and finished by hand. Signature motifs include the rose window of Palma Cathedral and Art Nouveau details such as the wrought iron lamps of the Gran Hotel. Earrings based on the rose window were given to Princess Leonor by the Balearic government for her 18th birthday, and her son Gonzalo co-created a men's collection inspired by the island's ancient slingers.

The brand sells through its L'Atelier boutique in Palma and through El Corte Inglés stores in Palma and Madrid.
