What is MIRTO?
MIRTO is a Madrid based shirt and menswear brand that has been making clothing by hand since 1956. It belongs to Mirto Corporación Empresarial, a family business controlled by the Fraguas family.
History
The company was founded by Ricardo Fraguas Álvaro together with a partner. The Fraguas family took full ownership in the 1990s, and the next generation, including Ricardo Fraguas Gadea as director general, has joined the management. Production takes place in the group's own factory in the San Blas district of Madrid, supplemented by suppliers in Spain and Portugal. A womenswear collection was added in 2000.
