Products and positioning
Each pair is constructed largely by hand and carries a personal signature from the maker. According to Lytvinenko, up to eleven employees contribute to a single pair, and the process takes many times longer than factory-made denim.
The workshop relies on rebuilt vintage equipment, including four 1930s Union Special 43200G chain-stitch hemming machines, a Reece 101 buttonhole machine and a 1930s Union Special belt-loop machine. Several machines were restored with mechanics from a closed Levi's plant in North Carolina.
