What is Sepehr Maghsoudi?

History
Maghsoudi was mentored by Dutch couturiers Edgar Vos and Frans Molenaar, and took part in the television competition Project Catwalk in 2010. He has since built a body of more than twenty collections and sells internationally.
An overview of his couture work has been exhibited in Hoorn, the North Holland town where he is based, and he has been appointed a Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau.
Products and positioning
The label focuses on couture collections, with an emphasis on craftsmanship and on creating each design entirely from scratch. Collections such as Atmosphere have drawn strong public interest. He also teaches and supports a group of young designers.
Why it matters
Sepehr Maghsoudi represents the small but persistent Dutch couture scene, where independent designers trained in the Molenaar and Vos tradition continue to work at the made-to-order end of the market.
