Warehouse is a British women's clothing brand that used to operate a national chain of stores and is now an online label within Debenhams Group.
History
Wikipedia lists a founding year of 1976 and does not name a founder. Warehouse was part of Aurora Fashions, which also owned Oasis and Coast. In November 2016 the administrator put the chain up for sale for £100 million, according to Wikipedia.
Ownership
Warehouse and Oasis entered administration in April 2020 and administrators failed to find a buyer, with about 1,800 jobs lost. In June 2020 Boohoo Group acquired the Warehouse brand, assets and stock, and the Warehouse and Oasis brands and websites were reported at £5.25 million. Boohoo Group was rebranded as Debenhams Group in March 2025, although the legal name remains Boohoo Group.
Business model and distribution
Since 2020 Warehouse has been converted into an online store, with its former physical shops closed. Product coverage is women's clothing, shoes and accessories, priced for the mainstream high street rather than the premium end, and sold through its own website.
