History
The company began by making jackets, trousers and work garments from surplus materials and moved to men's trousers in 1950. Dr. Dormanns' daughter, Marie-Lore Walendy, inherited the business in 1968. Her son Georg Walendy developed the brand in the 1980s, and ALBERTO was added to the company name in 2003. He retired from management on 1 January 2024.
