D'URBAN is a Japanese men's clothing brand focused on suits and business wear that blend classic and modern styles. It is associated with the apparel company Renown and remains rooted in Tokyo.
History
The first D'URBAN store opened in Tokyo in 1970. The name refers to one of the ships that escorted the future King Edward VIII on his visit to Japan in 1922. In the 1980s the brand expanded overseas, and in 1996 it introduced MONSOON, a summer collection built for Tokyo's heat and humidity. For its 40th anniversary season in 2010 it put new emphasis on Made in Japan under the theme Wearing Japan.
