What is Hackett?
Hackett, also known as Hackett London, is a British menswear brand offering tailoring, shirts, knitwear, casualwear and accessories with a classic, sporting gentleman's style. It also offers boys' clothing as well as services such as tailoring, barbering and shoe shining in selected stores.
History
Jeremy Hackett and Ashley Lloyd-Jennings began with a stall on Portobello Road, and their first shop on King's Road in London sold second-hand clothing before they moved into their own designs. The first international store opened in Madrid in 1989, and childrenswear was added in 1995.
The brand was later owned by Richemont, which sold it in 2005 to the Spanish investment firm Torreal. It then became part of the Pepe Jeans group, which was bought in 2015 by Lebanon's M1 Group and L Capital Asia. That group now trades as AWWG, which dates its acquisition of Hackett to 2006. In 2019 Hackett took over the former Hardy Amies premises at 14 Savile Row as its flagship.
