Nadia Morgenthaler is a Swiss haute joaillerie house launched in December 2013 by designer Nadia Morgenthaler. Her atelier is in Geneva, where a team of seven artisans makes every piece in-house.
History
Morgenthaler discovered jewellery as a teenager at Geneva's School of Decorative Arts and spent around three decades working for major high jewellery houses. In 2009 she took over her mentor's Geneva atelier before launching her eponymous brand. She won the Prix du Designer de l'Année in 2019.
Products and positioning
The brand is known for a sculptural, sensual style drawing on Belle Époque architecture, Maharaja splendour, Flemish Primitive painting and Arabian Nights imagery. Signature elements include:
- A layered silver and gold technique in which the silver oxidises to a black patina
- Natural pearls in nearly every creation
- Soft, muted stones such as pink tourmaline, mint spinel and grey moonstone
- Earrings made as distinct left and right pieces
