History
In 1982 Sprayway introduced its first GORE-TEX waterproof jacket, and the following year it launched the Hydro-Dry collection, which pioneered machine-taped waterproof garments that did not use GORE-TEX. The Torridon jacket, launched in 1988, became one of the highest selling GORE-TEX jackets in the UK by the mid-1990s and defined the brand for that era. It was relaunched for winter 2019 after two years of development, with a longer length, redesigned hood, improved fit and PFC-free three-layer GORE-TEX.
