What is ZUCCa?
ZUCCa is a Tokyo label created by Akira Onozuka, a designer born in Niigata Prefecture in 1950. Before launching it he spent about fourteen years at the Miyake Design Studio under Issey Miyake, which he joined in 1974, and in 1986 he started ODDS ON, a menswear line under Issey Miyake On Limits.
History
ZUCCa began in 1988 and debuted at the Paris Collection in 1989, the same year a Paris subsidiary, ZUCCa Europe S.A., opened. The brand later moved under A-net Inc., the Issey Miyake group's brand incubator established in 1996. After Onozuka stepped down in 2011 the brand left the Paris schedule, and its spring/summer 2026 collection was shown at Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo.

Distribution
The brand runs stores in Tokyo, including the CABANE de ZUCCa shop in Daikanyama and a flagship in Aoyama.
