What is McGregor?
McGregor is a fashion brand that was established in New York in 1921 by a Scottish immigrant. In 1993 the brand was taken over by the Dutch McGregor Fashion Group, which developed it into a European retail brand.
History
Under Dutch ownership McGregor expanded beyond men's sportswear in the 1990s with womenswear, junior and mini lines. After financial difficulties the business went bankrupt at the end of 2018. In 2019 the brand announced a return to the Netherlands and Belgium with six stores in Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Breda, Antwerp and Knokke, the last three run as franchises.
