History
The Pariente brothers, Patrick and Gérard, founded the company in Paris in 1973. In 2006 they sold it to Vivarte. In 2018 Vivarte sold Naf Naf to a Chinese consortium led by Shanghai La Chapelle Fashion Co, whose majority shareholder later sought to exit.
Receiverships and ownership
In 2020 Naf Naf entered receivership and was taken over by the Franco-Turkish group SY Corporate France. In 2023 it filed for receivership a second time, citing unpaid rent from the Covid-19 pandemic, and the Bobigny commercial court placed it in receivership. In June 2024 the Turkish company Migiboy Tekstil took over the assets for €1.5 million. Migiboy planned to keep 99 of 111 boutiques and 505 of 579 jobs.
