What is Palm Angels?
Palm Angels is an Italian luxury streetwear label that blends Los Angeles skate and surf culture with Italian production. It designs clothing, shoes and accessories and is owned by Bluestar Alliance, which also owns Off-White.
History
Francesco Ragazzi, a photographer and former artistic director of Moncler, published a book of photographs of the Los Angeles skateboarding scene with Rizzoli in 2014, launched at Colette in Paris. The first ready-to-wear collection followed for autumn/winter 2015. The brand built its profile through collaborations, including Vlone and Playboi Carti in 2018 and Clarks Originals in 2020, and a partnership with the Haas F1 Team from 2023.
Palm Angels was part of New Guards Group, the Milan-based brand platform owned by Farfetch. In February 2025 Bluestar Alliance announced the acquisition of Palm Angels, without disclosing terms, and Ragazzi left the company. In June 2025 Bluestar named Alberto Furlan, Ragazzi's long-time collaborator, as creative director and Luca Donnini as chief executive.
Products and positioning
The brand sits at the luxury end of streetwear. Its range includes:
- Track suits, hoodies and graphic T-shirts
- Outerwear and tailoring with a more refined look under Furlan
- Footwear, which the new team has expanded
- Accessories
Business model and distribution
In 2025 Palm Angels had ten company-owned stores, with planned openings in Dubai, Mumbai, Athens and New York, and it also sells through wholesale and e-commerce. Bluestar, which manages a large portfolio of licences, has said it plans to expand the brand's international presence and enter new categories.
Why it matters
Palm Angels shows how the luxury streetwear brands built in the 2010s are being consolidated by licensing-led owners. Together with Off-White, it gives Bluestar a cluster of designer streetwear labels to develop in parallel.
