SYSTEM HOMME is the men's collection of System, one of South Korea's best known contemporary labels. System is owned by Handsome Corporation, the fashion company acquired by the Hyundai Department Store Group in 2012.
History
System launched in 1990 as a women's ready-to-wear line and introduced menswear in 2008. The label has since taken its collections to Paris Fashion Week, including dedicated men's shows, as part of a push to build recognition in Europe.
Products and positioning
The menswear is directional urban clothing and sportswear: classic items in fine materials with oversized cuts. Overcoats, jackets and knitwear are central, and trousers are regarded as a key strength. Design is handled by a large in-house studio, and production is based in Korea.
