History
After the sale of Nine West in 1999, Camuto established Camuto Group in 2001 with his wife Louise Camuto. The namesake Vince Camuto footwear line launched in 2005 and was later joined by a handbag collection. Camuto Group also designed and produced footwear under licence for other labels, including the Jessica Simpson brand.
In October 2018, Authentic Brands Group acquired Vince Camuto as part of a deal for a majority stake in the intellectual property of Camuto Group's proprietary brands, in partnership with the US footwear retailer DSW.
