What is W.KRUK?
W.KRUK is a Polish jeweller selling jewellery and watches through its own salons. It is often described as the oldest Polish jewellery brand and today belongs to VRG, the Polish fashion group that also owns brands such as Vistula, Bytom, Wólczanka and Deni Cler.
History
The business began in 1840, when Leon Skrzetuski opened a workshop on ul. Wodna in Poznań that made liturgical items and jewellery for the Church. In 1893 his nephew, Władysław Kruk, took over the workshop, and the brand still carries his name.
The modern W.KRUK salon network began in 1990, when the first salon opened in Poznań. The company listed on the stock exchange in 2002 and expanded its sales network across Poland. VRG, the group that now owns the brand, was formed in 2008.
